Comedian-actor Ali Asgar has opened up about his exit from The Kapil Sharma Show. The comedian was an integral part of the comedy show, frontlined by Kapil Sharma. Ali played the roles of Dadi and Nani in TKSS. However, a few years ago, Ali quit The Kapil Sharma Show. And now, exclusively speaking to IndiaToday.in, Ali has opened up about his exit from the show.
'NANI'S CHARACTER WAS WEAK'
In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Ali Asgar cited 'creative differences' as the reason he took an exit from The Kapil Sharma Show. He further mentioned that his character Nani was very 'weak'.
"I had creative differences. Nani's character was very weak so I had to take an exit [from the show]. Because it was not working out and I had nothing to do. I just didn't want to make money. I would have been a part of the show now also but I have done some good work. I want my work to speak. Mujhe dadi ke liye bohot pyaar mila tha par nani ke liye vo baat nahi thi. And somewhere, I felt that this was not happening. During the same time, ye saara raita [Kapil Sharma-Sunil Grover's fight] fail gaya. Uss cheeze mein ajeeb baatein aani lagi media mein. And the actual reason [for his exit] never reached Kapil and the audience," he said.
The comedian-actor went on to add, "We moved on and that's the thing. My only difference was creative differences, otherwise I had no issues. This is not a fight. If given a good character, aage ka, you can never decide. Main chodunga show ye nahi socha tha. We never imagined that the show would be a hit. Kuch sochke ya plan karke mere case mein nahi hua hain. I wanted to become something else but I became an actor. I feel you should work hard and with dedication wherever destiny takes you."
