MIUI 14 features and supported devices list leak: Check if your phone is in the list

By India Today Tech: The screenshots of Xiaomi’s upcoming MIUI 14 Android skin have been leaked online, which reveal some of the features that we might get to see. It will reportedly be based on Android 13. A report from MyDrivers suggests that the brand isn’t planning to launch an improved version of MIUI 13 and will directly announce MIUI 14. For example, Xiaomi launched an MIUI 12.5 version back in 2021, but it seems that something similar might not happen with MIUI 13. The leak has also revealed the list of Xiaomi devices that could get MIUI 14 in the future. Here’s everything you need to know.
The screenshots show that MIUI 14 will get an improved Andi-fraud protection feature, which could help people know about fake calls, messages, and apps. The company has reportedly added support for Bluetooth LE Audio, which is the next generation of wireless audio. So, the upcoming MIUI version is said to offer support for a new high-quality codec, and Auracast broadcasting, which basically is a device that acts as an FM, and multiple supported headphone users will be able to listen to the radio.
Apart from these, the Gallery app is said to get a new text recognition feature, which will let people quickly copy test from documents that they might have received. Xiaomi is also planning to add an “On This Day” feature to the Gallery app, which will remind people of their old photos and memories. People will also be able to declutter notifications, as per the leaked screenshots. One might also get to see an improved Assistant interface and some changes in the Clock app’s UI. The rest of the features are still unknown.
The leaks have also revealed the list of devices that will likely get support for MIUI 14. These could be Xiaomi Mi 11 series, Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, Mi 10 series, Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 9 series, Redmi K50, Redmi K40, Redmi K30, and more. The brand hasn’t yet officially confirmed the list of supported devices, so if your device isn’t on the list, then you should not lose hope.
At the moment, it is unknown as to when the company plans to launch MIUI 14. It is being said that the latest MIUI version could be announced later this year, along with Xiaomi 13 smartphone.
