By India Today Web Desk: Richarlison was over the moon after Brazil secured a crucial 2-0 win over Serbia in the FIFA World Cup 2022 Group G match against Serbia on Thursday, November 24 at Lusail Stadium.

In the 62nd minute, he gave Brazil an important 1-0 lead, after which he pulled off a stupendous overhead kick in the 73rd minute to seal the deal for his team.

Richarlison managed to score his ninth goal for Brazil in 2022, who went to the top of the points table after displacing Switzerland, who handed Cameroon a 1-0 defeat.

"As our professor Tite says, 'you are smelling goals', and that's what's happening. It's a wonderful night, a beautiful victory and now we have six games to reach our goal," Richarlison was quoted as saying after the match.

Brazil, in the meantime, have been plagued with an injury concern after Neymar tweaked his ankle after a tackle against Nikola Milenkovic.

Neymar spent the rest of the match with his hands on his face as Brazil raced off to a triumph. However, Tite, the Brazil coach, sounded confident of their trump card taking part in the remainder of the mega event in Qatar.

"We are confident that Neymar will continue playing in the World Cup. I didn't see Neymar was injured. The capacity he has to overcome it tricked even me," he added.

Brazil are next scheduled to lock horns with Switzerland on Monday, November 28 at Stadium 974.
