Kerala government on Thursday removed Governor Arif Mohammad Khan as the chancellor of Kerala Kalamandalam deemed-to-be-university through an amendment. The state government has amended the rules and regulations of Kerala Kalamandalam deemed-to-be-university in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Institutions Deemed to be Universities) Regulations of 2019. As per the new amendment, the chancellor will be an eminent person in the field of art and culture appointed by the sponsoring body.
