My Take: State must stop imposing diktats on others policing their food habits

The order to shut down meat shops during Navratri by the BJP-ruled municipal corporation in the National Capital is a bad idea. Not only is it terrible optics based on flawed data, but it also strikes at the very heart of our constitutionally guaranteed freedom as citizens. It is designed to divide and rule by misusing state power under the garb of religious piety. The state should stop imposing diktats on others and policing their food habits.

My take: Building of Ram temple must be a time of healing

Rajdeep Sardesai's take: The Ram Mandir is being built after decades of political acrimony that has led to much blood being spilled and communal divisions being sharpened. The building of the temple must become a time for healing. But this must begin first by eBuilding for Ram nsuring that those responsible for the criminal act of demolishing a mosque are punished.
