Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation case became a matter of global interest. Though Johnny won the case backed by his lawyer Camille Vasquez, the matter still continues to bounce back into the limelight. Well, after Camille brushed aside dating rumours with Johnny, there seems to be a new development in the actor’s life. As per reports, Johnny is dating one of his lawyers, but from his 2018 libel case involving tier 1 international newspapers. Here’s more!

Throughout the entire Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation case, netizens wanted the former to date his lawyer Camille Vasquez. Soon after, rumours started floating that something has been brewing between the two. After Camille refuted the rumours in an interview, there has been a new update about Johnny. The Pirates of the Carribean actor seems to have found love in his former lawyer, Joelle Rich, who represented him in 2018 libel case involving international newspapers.

Joelle, who is still married and about to divorce her husband, is reportedly dating Johnny. US Weekly quoted a source saying, “It’s serious between them. They are the real deal.” The source further mentioned, “Their chemistry is off the charts.” Joelle was one of the lawyers to work on Johnny’s 2018 libel case but wasn’t a part of the actor’s defamation case with his ex-wife Amber Heard. She was apparently present in a Virginia courtroom to show her “support” for Johnny. The source further added, “There was no professional obligation for her being there. It was personal.” The two have reportedly had secret meetings in hotels during their early stages of romance.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met on the sets of The Rum Diary (2009) and started dating a while later. They tied the knot in 2015. In 2016, Amber filed for divorce, alleging that Johnny had physically abused her during their marriage under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Johnny denied the accusations and stated that it was Amber, who was "attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse." Johnny and Amber’s divorce was finalised in 2017. And in 2018, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor filed a defamation case against his ex-wife for her opinion piece on domestic abuse. The Oscar-nominee won the case against his ex-wife in June 2022.
