Aaftab Ameen Poonawala, accused of the grisly murder of his live-in partner, has reportedly confessed to the police that after chopping up Shraddha’s body, he burnt her face to conceal her identity. Delhi Police sources told news agency ANI that Aaftab also confessed that he had searched on the internet for ways to dispose of a body after the murder.
Prime accused in the Shraddha murder case, Aaftab Ameen Poonawala is likely to be moved out of the Mehrauli police station owing to safety concerns as the case has sparked widespread anger, police said, adding that at Mehrauli Police Station, too, Aaftab was kept under high security and surveillance.
A 4-year-old child died on Wednesday after allegedly being hit by Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP, Abu Taher Khan’s car in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal. The boy, named Hasim Sakar, was injured after the car hit him and he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
