Ankita was under pressure to commit wrongful acts: Top cop on U’khand receptionist murder
Commenting on the Uttarakhand resort receptionist murder case, a top police official said Ankita was under pressure to commit wrongful acts.
By Sneha Mordani: Hours after the arrest of three people in the Uttarakhand resort receptionist murder case, Director general of police (DGP) Ashok Kumar said victim Ankita was under pressure to commit wrongful acts.
"Ankita was under pressure to commit wrongful acts. We will reveal more details after further investigation," the DGP said.
The body of the 19-year-old receptionist, who went missing on the premises of a private resort owned by BJP leader's son Pulkit Arya, was found by the police near Chilla powerhouse, sources said.
In police custody, the accused confessed that they pushed her into a canal near the resort after a personal dispute, following which she drowned, according to the police.

The DGP said, “Prima facie special services were being asked to be given to Ankit Arya (son of Vinod Arya and brother of Pulkit Arya).”
“However, whether there was a prostitution racket or it is a standalone case of Ankita being forced to offer services to Ankit is not clear yet,” he added.
“No other girl is missing. If there is something more to it, we will dig it out,” he said.
“Something has come up about Pulkit Arya. Will go to the depth of everything,” the top cop said.
