Mumbai civic body poll: Bihar deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav likely to campaign for Uddhav Sena
After meeting with Aaditya Thackeray, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is likely to campaign for the Uddhav Sena faction for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections.
By Rohit Kumar Singh: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is likely to campaign for the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. This comes after Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray met the deputy chief minister in Patna on Wednesday.
After Thackeray arrived in Patna, speculations rose that he was more concerned about the BMC elections where the party is currently in power, rather than forging an opposition alliance to take on the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Uddhav Sena faction is likely to face roadblocks in retaining power in the BMC after the Shiv Sena's recent split followed by Eknath Shinde's appointment as Maharashtra chief minister. In the face of such challenges, the votebank of people living in Mumbai from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar -- with a sizeable population of around 50 lakhs -- could play a crucial role.
Sources told India Today that the primary reason behind Aaditya Thackeray's meeting with Tejashwi Yadav was the BMC elections and that Thackeray invited the RJD leader to campaign for the party.
