Security forces arrested two militants in the Sopore area of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Wednesday. They also recovered arms and ammunition from the two arrested militants.
The arrests on Wednesday come at the heels of the death of two terrorists who were killed during an encounter with security forces in the Nowgam area of Srinagar district. The two terrorists who were killed were affiliated with the AGuh terror outfit, as per the police.
The AGuH i.e. Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind is a terrorist organisation which has links with Al Qaeda and the group is reported to be active in the Valley.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, while addressing world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session on Tuesday raked up the Kashmir issue and said, “India and Pakistan have not established peace between them yet.”
"We hope and pray that a fair and permanent peace and prosperity will be established in Kashmir," he added.
