West Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee will attend a meeting convened by PM Modi on December 5 with chief ministers of all states to discuss the preparatory process for the country hosting the G20 Summit in 2023.
By Suryagni Roy: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s G20 meeting on December 5 in the national capital. A meeting has been convened by PM Modi with chief ministers of all states to discuss the preparatory process for the country hosting the G20 Summit in 2023.
Four events of the G20 are likely to be held in West Bengal. Following the meeting, the West Bengal Chief Minister is likely to visit Ajmer Sharif in Rajasthan.
On December 5, PM Modi has called for a meeting with presidents of all political parties in New Delhi in order to discuss and finalise strategies for the G20 nations summit, which India will host in September 2023.
However, it is still not clear whether the Bengal Chief Minister will have a one-on-one meeting with the Prime Minister on her scheduled trip to Delhi in December.
Earlier in November, the TMC supremo had hit out at the central government claiming that Bengal's dues on account of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and funds under various central schemes were being held back by the BJP-led government under PM Modi.
