MBBS books in Marathi soon | Maha govt forms 7-member panel
The Maharashtra government has set up a seven-member panel to form a plan to publish MBBS books in Marathi.
By India Today Web Desk: An official from the state department of medical education and research said on Thursday that the Maharashtra government has formed a seven-person committee to lay out a plan for publishing MBBS course books in Marathi.
This comes right after the Madhya Pradesh government released Hindi-language textbooks for the MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) programme.
Ajay Chandanwale, the joint director of the medical education and research department, is in charge of the seven-person Maharashtra panel, according to the official.
“We spoke with officials in Madhya Pradesh which published the MBBS course books in Hindi," said a senior official from the medical education and research department.
"The next step is to hold the first meeting of the committee members in Maharashtra and discuss the road map for the course publication in Marathi. The meeting is likely to be held in Mumbai next week,” the official said.
